OVERVIEW
This short course is designed for support workers (or equivalent) who require the skills and knowledge necessary to confidently prepare and provide medication assistance and complete medication documentation. This short course also involves supporting a client to self-administer medication. It is best suited to support workers who are employed or who are otherwise able to demonstrate competency in a suitable workplace.
The short course is offered in a blended delivery mode. Participants complete theoretical knowledge in a self-paced mode, followed by 8 hours of clinical simulation and practice and an assessment with our qualified Assessor in your workplace.
The skills in this unit are applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.
