A scholarship built on legacy
The Darryl Cameron Scholarship was established by EQUALS International in honour of the late Darryl Cameron, a proud Ngarrindjeri man who started his journey with EQUALS as a student and spent his life working to improve Aboriginal health outcomes across regional South Australia.
Darryl Cameron Scholarship
Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying health and community services at EQUALS International.
This scholarship puts $2,000 toward tuition fees for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying eligible health or community services courses at EQUALS. It reflects our commitment to First Nations communities and to growing a workforce that truly represents the people it serves.
A life dedicated to community
Darryl Cameron was a proud Ngarrindjeri man, nurse, health leader, and community advocate. He came to EQUALS as a student and later served on the EQUALS Advisory Committee, bringing his knowledge, experience, and genuine care for his community to help shape the organisation's direction.
Throughout his life, Darryl worked to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across regional South Australia. His belief that education can change lives, and his deep commitment to stronger, healthier communities, continues to inspire everything we do at EQUALS.
"This scholarship is in honour of Darryl Cameron and the long and lasting contribution he has made, over many years, to his community and to EQUALS."
EQUALS InternationalThis scholarship carries forward Darryl's legacy and opens doors for the next generation of First Nations health and community services professionals.
