Three steps to your reward
Share the referral form with your friend
Send your friend the referral form link — they fill it in with your EQUALS Student ID and their own details. The form must be submitted before your friend applies to EQUALS. Late or retrospective submissions will not be accepted.
Your friend enrols and commences
Our admissions team will follow up with your friend. Once they complete full first-term / trimester payment and are in good standing, your reward is confirmed.
Receive your reward
Rewards are processed and issued within 30 calendar days of eligibility confirmation — a tuition fee rebate for current students, or a GiftPay eGift card for alumni.

Up to $500 for current students
Receive a tuition fee rebate — $500 for a Higher Education referral, $300 for a VET referral — applied directly to your account once your referral commences.
eGift card reward for alumni
EQUALS graduates receive a GiftPay Australia eGift card — $500 for HEd enrolments, $300 for VET — valid for three years from date of issue.
Refer up to 3 people per year
You can submit unlimited referrals, however, only up to three eligible referrals per calendar year (1 January to 31 December), with a separate reward for each successful enrolment.
Open to all student communities
Currently enrolled students and EQUALS graduates (alumni) are both eligible. Referred students must be international and enrol into an eligible Higher Education (HE) or Vocational Education and Training (VET) course.
Refer full qualifications only
The referral must be for a full HEd or VET qualification. Short courses, microcredentials, single-subject enrolments, and non-award English language programs are not eligible.
Privacy protected
All referral data is handled under the EQUALS Privacy and Personal Information Policy and in compliance with the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988).

Reward issued once your referral completes full first-term payment and is in good academic and financial standing. Processed within 30 calendar days of eligibility confirmation.
GiftPay Australia eGift card — valid for 3 years
Alumni reward value matches the student reward — with the added recognition that your continued connection to EQUALS matters. eGift card valid for 3 years from date of issue. Processed within 30 calendar days of eligibility confirmation.
Who can participate?
Referrer eligibility
- Currently enrolled EQUALS student (active, confirmed timetable, good standing) or EQUALS graduate (alumnus)
- Must act in a personal capacity only — not as, or affiliated with, a registered education or migration agent
- Must not be a current EQUALS staff member or contractor
- Maximum of three (3) eligible referrals per calendar year
- Must obtain the consent of the referred person before submitting their details
- Cannot refer themselves
Referred student eligibility
- Must be genuinely new to EQUALS — never previously enrolled or registered on EQUALS systems
- Must not be represented by a registered education or migration agent at the time of referral
- Must apply for a full HEd or VET qualification — short courses and microcredentials are not eligible
- International students currently in Australia must be legally present at the time of referral submission
- Referral must be submitted before the referred person applies — retrospective claims will not be accepted
