Financial Assistance

EQUALS offers a number of financial assistance options for our students. CONCESSIONS Students applying for a government subsidised or funded course may be eligible for concession if they hold a current:

Prisoners in South Australian correctional institutions will also receive a concession. A concession card must be presented at time of enrolment. A concession will not be offered if you do not possess a vaild concession card at the time of enrolment. Many low-income earners are eligible to apply for a Low Income Earner Health Care Card.

Students who think they may be eligible are advised to apply as soon as possible so that a HCC or temporary HCC can be used for a concession. You will be provided with concession rates at the time of registration, and these will be validated at the time of enrolment. If you are unsure of your eligibility, you can contact Centrelink before your enrolment on 131 021.

AUSTUDY

EQUALS is able to offer Austudy approved programs to eligible participants. If you are enrolling in a course or program and wish to learn more about Austudy, please contact Centrelink or Student Services on (08) 8110 1200.

PAYMENT PLANS

EQUALS offers a range of flexible payment plans for eligible students. If you would like assistance in paying off your tuition fees, then speak with our Finance team on (08) 8110 1215 or lodge a support ticket.

EDUCATION LOANS

In addition to flexible payment plans available through EQUALS, prospective students may consider funding further education through a personal or education loan available through various Australian financial institutions.

There are a wide variety of products available in the marketplace and it is important that individuals research the features and benefits of a product before making a commitment. While we have included some links to assist prospective students, EQUALS have no affiliation with any particular institution nor do we accept any responsibility for the information supplied by these organisations.

SCHOLARSHIPS EQUALS International, in partnership with the Centre for Equality Scholarship Initiative, offer a range of scholarships to study tertiary education courses at EQUALS. These scholarships are designed to support eligible disadvantaged members of the community who demonstrate a genuine desire to complete a qualification that leads to a vocational outcome that will contribute to the betterment of humanity.

Among others, First Nations people are warmly welcomed to express interest in the EQUALS Centre for Equality scholarship program. The scholarship program has a particular focus to support vocational outcomes that are in demand, including community services, disability, social and human services work, allied health and nursing. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and alumni interested in exploring further scholarship pathways are encouraged to contact the Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS). PHMSS is an Australian Government initiative designed to encourage and assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander undergraduate students in health-related disciplines to complete their studies and join the health workforce.

The scheme was established in recognition of Dr Arnold ‘Puggy’ Hunter’s significant contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and his role as Chair of the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
