How We Support You

EMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM EQUALS has qualified employment support staff that are committed to providing you with…

English Training

EQUALS programs are taught in English and therefore you are required to demonstrate English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing by completion of an English language test.

The IELTS (International English Language Test System) is the preferred English language proficiency qualification. The minimum English language entry requirement for our programs is IELTS 5.5 (overall band score).

A band score of each component should not be less than 5 however some programs require a higher assessment level. The IELTS test must be the Academic version. If your English language proficiency does not yet meet the standard, EQUALS International will provide guidance in securing the necessary English training for your studies.

The final decision on acceptance of any applicant will be based on an interview with EQUALS International or our approved Education Agent. If, once the course has commenced, difficulties arise with the level of English proficiency required, then the student is encouraged to speak initially to the Admissions team who can coordinate support services.

If you do not yet have the required English level, make sure you apply to EQUALS International well before the starting date of the course you wish to study.

You will need to join a package program with English as your preliminary course and one of our visa accredited programs as your primary course of study.

EQUALS can package your qualification with an appropriate English program. To learn more about English training that is available to you, please email our Admissions team at admissions@equals.edu.au.

Living In Adelaide

Adelaide is one of Australia’s most livable cities. Adelaide is home to increasing numbers of international visitors from all over the world and is one of Australia’s most affordable, safe, culturally diverse and friendly place to live, work and learn.

Student Accommodation

Student Housing

In Adelaide, most students choose to live in and around the city centre. With our campus located in the heart of the city, you will find it easy to get to and from your classes by walking, riding your bike or catching the free inner-city tram.

Visas

You will need to obtain and maintain a student visa until the completion of your course. You can obtain visa information from the nearest Australian Embassy or Australian High Commission or Department of Home Affairs (DOHA). Student visa applications are assessed based on your country’s level of risk (level 1 being low, level 5 being very high). Each assessment level has differing criteria. This criteria includes financial, English and other requirements.
