CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) offers students a holistic approach to caring for the aged. Successful completion of CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) qualifies graduates to work as Personal Care Workers in the Community Services and Residential Aged Care Sector. This certificate offers an entry pathway into HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing and CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services courses.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

EQUALS requires the following at admission as these documents will be required by industry prior to Work Integrated Learning:

A current and valid National Police Check (dated within 12 months). Please note that online checks are also accepted.

If you currently hold a Department of Communities & Social Inclusion (DCSI) Screening Check for working in the Aged Care Sector and with Vulnerable People please talk with our Admissions team about requirements for screening checks.

Please note that the outcome of any screening check may affect Work Integrated Learning opportunities, and that this is at the discretion of host facilities.

You will also need to sign a declaration stating that you are physically fit to carry out the duties of a Care Worker.

Work Integrated Learning

This course includes 120 hours of industry placement in an approved aged care (or equivalent) facility setting. The placement is included as part of the course duration.

Please note that work placement is a compulsory part of this course. Placement offers are subject to supply and may affect course duration and are included in the course fees.
