Meet Our Student Ambassadors
Your Voice. Stronger Together.
We have welcomed four Student Ambassadors this year to represent and support the student community. They are here to listen, advocate, and help ensure your voice continues to shape your experience at EQUALS.
Here to Listen
Reach out to an ambassador anytime — to share how you're finding your studies, raise a concern, or simply have an honest conversation about student life.
Represent the Student Voice
Feed real student perspectives back to the Equals team so we can continuously improve the learning experience.
Advocate for a Better Campus
Work with staff to highlight what's working and flag what could be improved — from support services to student facilities.

Hi, I'm Maureen, a Master of Social Work student with a passion for community engagement, youth empowerment and gender inclusivity. I am dedicated to helping people feel connected and supported in their learning journey. As a Student Ambassador at EQUALS, my role is to support and encourage students, help create a welcoming environment and share my experiences to make student life feel less overwhelming and more enjoyable. My experience at EQUALS has been really positive. I've met supportive lecturers, gained valuable knowledge and practical skills and connected with people from many different backgrounds. The environment helped me grow both personally and professionally. My advice to new students is to ask questions, stay open to learning and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Everyone starts somewhere, and the support is there if you need it. Fun fact: I love animals, especially dogs! I also enjoy cooking and travelling!

Hello everyone! My name is Elaiza, your proud Filipina all the way from the Philippines — where rice is not just food, it's practically a lifestyle. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Human Services, and I am also proud to be part of the Student Ambassador team. As a student ambassador, I serve as a key liaison between students and the school, helping create a safe and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable connecting and seeking support. Being part of EQUALS has been an amazing experience for me. The education is excellent, the community is supportive, and the opportunities for growth are truly valuable. To all upcoming and current students of EQUALS, my advice is simple: enjoy the journey, embrace every challenge, and keep thriving. And remember — study hard, stay positive, and never skip rice, it's the true fuel of success!

Hi everyone! I'm Aryan, and social work has always been at the heart of what I do. Before coming to EQUALS, I worked across hospitals, ICUs and reception roles in Mumbai, and what stayed with me was never the equipment or the numbers, it was always the people. Seeing patients and families navigate some of their hardest moments made me realise that the kind of support I wanted to offer went far beyond the clinical. That's what brought me to the Master of Social Work, and I haven't looked back since. Outside of uni, I volunteer at a student community centre, teach kids on weekends at a language school, and I'm into holistic well-being. As your Student Ambassador, I'm here to make sure your voices are heard, so please don't hesitate to come talk to me!

I'm Muhammad Asad, an international student who is passionate about leadership, personal growth, and helping others. I enjoy connecting with people from different backgrounds, building positive relationships, and creating a supportive environment for students. Being a Student Ambassador allows me to represent the student community, encourage others, and contribute positively to student life at EQUALS International.
