Student Access and Safety Plans at EQUALS
In addition to SWS, EQUALS offers Student Access and Safety Plans — available to all students, in any accredited course, who may benefit from individualised academic adjustments or support.
If you’re experiencing challenges that affect your learning — whether due to a Disability, mental health concern, medical condition, or other personal circumstances — you can apply for a Student Access and Safety Plan. You do not need a formal diagnosis to access support.
These plans are developed in consultation with you and a Student Services Advisor and may include adjustments to assessments, learning materials, or access to learning spaces. They’re designed to remove barriers and help you achieve your academic potential.
Common adjustments might include:
- Extra time for assessments or exams
- Flexible attendance or participation options
- Access to assistive technologies
- Alternative formats for learning materials
- Support with practical placements or off-campus activities
Your plan is tailored to your needs and reviewed regularly as your circumstances change.
