Are you an existing health or community services professional or perhaps looking to build on your existing Diploma studies?

The Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management CHC62015 qualification reflects the role of workers who are middle managers or managers across a range of community sector organisations. These people work independently and report to executive management, directors or boards of management. They undertake a range of functions requiring the application of knowledge and skills to achieve results in line with the organisation’s goals and strategic directions.

At this level, workers have responsibility for planning and monitoring service delivery, recruitment and performance management of other paid or unpaid workers, managing risk and contributing to continuous improvement within the scope of their specific role. This may include management of a specific program or project, or broader management of a community-based organisation, early childhood education service, not-for-profit organisation or community centre.

Pathways into community sector management as a career include vocational training and tertiary qualifications. Students who complete this diploma may be eligible for entry into higher education courses in areas such as Social Work, Human Services and Applied Public Health.

Direct entry into the Advanced Diploma is available to eligible applicants; or students might choose to study the Diploma of Nursing HLT54115, Diploma of Community Services CHC52015, Diploma of Counselling CHC51015 or Diploma of Mental Health CHC53315 before commencing this Advanced Diploma course.

All candidates who undertake the Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management CHC62015 will be provided with advice on employment and training options.
