Our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course is designed to help international students develop the essential academic English skills needed for success in vocational and higher education studies across Australia. Whether you aim to improve your academic writing, reading, listening, or speaking, our program provides targeted training to prepare you for the demands of higher education and beyond.

Whether you plan to pursue studies in Health and Nursing, Social Work and Human Services, Education and Community Services, or Leadership and Management, the EAP course will help you build the English proficiency and academic confidence you need to thrive.

The EAP course supports students with a range of goals, including progression into vocational qualifications, participation in work placements, and potential articulation into undergraduate programs such as Nursing, Human Services, Social Work, Business, and Management.

The course develops all key language skills—Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking—with specific outcomes for each skill area tailored to your level. These outcomes are embedded in both Block A (Intermediate) and Block B (Upper Intermediate) to ensure students are supported at every stage of their learning journey.

Entry Requirements

Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or a comparable educational level in their home country.

English Requirements

Overall IELTS 4.5 (with no band below 4.0).

Course Structure

Delivery Format

The EAP program is structured to support a smooth and confident transition into further study.

Study Blocks:

1. Block A – Intermediate (IELTS 4.5–5.0):

  • Focuses on building foundational academic English skills.
  • 10 weeks
  • $400 per week ($320 per week with scholarship)

2. Block B – Upper Intermediate (IELTS 5.0–5.5):

  • Prepares students for higher-level study with advanced skills in research, essay writing, and presentations.
  • 10 weeks
  • $400 per week ($320 per week with scholarship)

Class Schedule:

  • 10 weeks each study block
  • 20 hours per week 

  • Includes sessions on grammar, vocabulary, writing, listening, speaking, and weekly assessments

Assessment Tasks:

  • Oral presentations

  • Academic essay (in-class)

  • Research report

  • IELTS-style Reading & Listening tests

Completion Requirements:
Minimum grade of C (50%) in each skill to progress or complete.
Grade B (76%+) required for direct entry into Diploma courses like Nursing.
