This qualification reflects the role of allied health assistants who provide assistance to allied health professionals under predetermined guidelines. Depending on the setting, work may include following treatment plans for therapeutic interventions and/or conducting programs under the regular direct, indirect or remote supervision of an allied health professional.
PLEASE NOTE: The HLT33015 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance has been superseded, you must complete your qualification within the Teach Out period, i.e., you must complete your qualification no later than 23rd November 2023. In order to receive your qualification by this date, you must have submitted all course documentation and met your course requirements by no later than 29th September 2023. If you do not complete all requirements by this date, you may choose to be transferred to the replacement qualification however this will incur additional costs, assessment requirements and Work Integrated Learning requirements to you. You can register your interest for the new qualification for expected 2023 intake here
If you want to study a course that will give you skills employers need, the South Australian Government pays part of your course fees for you.
Your eligibility for government subsidised training may be based on your employment status and any training you’ve already completed.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 80 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

All applicants must also demonstrate adequate English language skills and numeracy skills to communicate safely and effectively in industry.
Domestic applicants will be required to demonstrate adequate literacy and numeracy skills at pre-admission interview through formal assessment.

As per the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Framework, ‘Overseas Students’ are not eligible to apply to enrol in this nationally recognised course, nor are they eligible for certification.
