Equals Foundation

The EQUALS Foundation was established as a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of the disadvantaged. Everyone can be involved, no matter how big or small that role may be. The implementation of meaningful projects focussing on sustainable development, promotion of human rights and global equality are some of the key driving forces.

The Foundation’s current project, the Akanu Ohafia Institute of Learning, is making a profound difference in the lives of disadvantaged children, their families and the Akanu community. We need you! Sponsor a child, a teacher, or make a donation today!

Aspects of healing

Aspects of Healing is Adelaide’s first integrative health centre – an authentic model of health care where the best of western and eastern medicine is combined to achieve optimal results. Our General Medical and Nursing Practitioners, Allied and Complementary Health Therapists work together to customise treatment services for our diverse client and patient group.

Integrated healthcare is an evolving, dynamic way of understanding health and dis-ease, and is more than a mixture of therapeutic healing. The essence of healing is integration, thus Integrative healthcare focuses on treating the whole person and not just the symptoms.

How do Aspects of Healing and EQUALS International work together?

Our two organisations work collaboratively to provide industry support and clinical experience for our learners and clients. We integrate our health centre Medical Practitioners and Therapists into our accredited and pre vocational health and nursing programs and offer learners a unique opportunity to work in Australia’s leading integrative health centres.

If you are a prospective learner who wants to learn more, please speak with our Enrolments team on 08 8110 1200.

Ayurveda Village

Ayurveda Village provides a unique training and practical learning environment where EQUALS students can learn and practice Ayurveda in this pristine, peaceful natural environment.  Student accomodation is also available subject to availability.

The Village offers a nurturing andspiritual environment where people can recuperate, rejuvenate and reacquaint themselves with who they really are. A place where they can shed layer upon layer of the material, emotional and spiritual toxins they have accumulated over the years and find their ‘core’.

Positioned on 9 acres of beautiful land in the Adelaide Hills, it is laced with gum trees, green grass and superb gardens. Sitting on the top of the hill is a renovated house where they invite you to come and join them for a cup of Ayurvedic tea and sit in the gardens and just be. Enjoy the birds signing in the trees, the lush gardens, and the wind whistling around your ears as you become in tune with the environment.

Ayurveda recognises that we are not all the same. We are each unique and therefore need something different.  Ayurveda Village offers Yoga, various workshops and traditional, classical Ayurveda treatments including Pancha Karma customised to each individual in an environment conducive to health and healing. At the same time, they are committed to education and empowering clients to know and understand their constitution (Prakriti) and what creates the imbalances (Vikriti) that cause dis-ease.

The wonderful team welcome students and members of the wider public.

Enquire about workshops, Pancha Karma retreats and accomodation at enquiries@ayurvedavillage.com.au.
